Governor Peter Obi says promotion of made in Nigeria products will save the country from the burden of importation. Governor Obi was speaking at a forum organized by the Magistrate Association of Nigeria in on Friday night.
The Governor said that by patronizing Nigerian goods, the country could conserve its foreign exchange, expand the scope of production, create employment and boost the economy.
He expressed satisfaction that his encouragement and empowerment of industrialists in the state is yielding desired dividends with daily expansion of the State industrial base and harnessing of foreign investments resulting to increase in the number of new modern industries with huge potential.
Governor Obi assured that he will not relent in his efforts to attract more investors to generate additional revenue to argument the State mearge resources to sustain the present tempo of development.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Muhammad Sambo Umar said they were impressed with the high level of development recorded by the Governor in all Sectors and urged other Governors to emulate his dedication and commitment to up lift the quality of life.
The State Chairman of the Association, Mrs. Pauline Chinwuba, in her address commended the Governor for remaining focused and people-oriented and thanked him for carrying the Magistrates along.
